Torque Converter Housing Casting with Machined Face Review
Torque converter housings and similar automotive cast housings need careful planning around the casting route and final machined surfaces. Datums, mounting faces, holes, and sealing-related areas should be discussed before quotation.
Automotive housing casting, machined faces, datum surfaces, hole position, sealing areas, and casting route reviewed before quotation.

Housing Features to Review
The drawing should be checked around wall thickness, ribs, bosses, mounting faces, datum surfaces, hole positions, and any sealing or cover area. These details affect casting feasibility, machining allowance, and inspection.
Casting Route and Prototype Option
Depending on quantity and development stage, the route may involve sand casting, aluminum casting, or prototype casting discussion. If 3D printed sand mold sampling is considered, machining allowance and inspection scope still need to be confirmed.

What to Send for RFQ
Send the drawing, 3D model, material, quantity, machined surfaces, tolerance notes, prototype or production expectation, and inspection documents required. If the part mates with other components, include those assembly notes.
