Custom Casting Case Studies

These case pages are built around the questions buyers usually ask before sending a drawing: what part was reviewed, which material and casting route may fit, what must be machined, what inspection is needed, and what risks should be checked before quotation.

Customer names, drawings, and commercial details are not shown. The useful information is the project review format: part name, material, process, machining, inspection, buyer concern, and what we check before quotation.

Case Format We Use

  • Part name: housing, pump body, valve body, bracket, cover, or machined cast component.
  • Material: aluminum alloy, cast iron, ductile iron, cast steel, stainless steel, bronze, or other casting alloy.
  • Process: sand casting, gravity casting, die casting, investment casting, or prototype casting route.
  • Machining: holes, threads, sealing faces, bearing seats, datums, mounting faces, or visible surfaces.
  • Inspection: CMM, dimensional report, material report, leakage or pressure test, thread gauges, surface review, or packing check.
  • Buyer concern: tolerance, porosity, delivery, machining allowance, repeatability, corrosion, finishing, or assembly fit.

Industry Case Pages

Start here when the working environment matters first: aerospace weight, automotive repeatability, pump and valve sealing, machinery assembly, marine corrosion, or clean equipment finishing.

Engineering Case Notes

Start here when your main concern is a specific manufacturing problem: sealing faces, bearing seats, pressure testing, load-bearing brackets, gearbox datums, or prototype casting.

How to Use These Case Pages

If a case is close to your part, send your drawing with material, quantity, machined surfaces, tolerance notes, surface finish, inspection documents, and delivery requirements. We will review the practical casting and machining route before quotation.

Send the drawing first. The useful discussion usually starts from machining surfaces, material, process risk, and inspection requirements.
