Production Review Before Batch Casting
Custom casting production should be planned around the final part, not only the raw casting. Before batch production, the buyer and supplier should confirm tooling status, material, process route, machining sequence, inspection scope, and packing method.
- Confirm approved sample or drawing revision before production starts.
- Review casting process controls for wall thickness, ribs, bosses, internal cavities, and feeding risk.
- Plan CNC machining after casting for holes, threads, bearing seats, sealing faces, and mounting surfaces.
- Define inspection documents and packing protection for machined or coated surfaces.
